NFL.com/fans

I just signed up and created a profile on NFL.com/fans. Not sure of everything it does…all I see so far is you can comment on articles. I’m sure there’s more coming.

Power of Twitter in thought leadership

MyColts.net fans slow to adopt Twitter

Now that NFL camps are open, we’re encouraging members of the Colts Social Network, MyColts.net, to use Twitter to send updates. It’s tough sledding so far.

Will teams launch stores on Facebook?

I don’t know that 800 Flowers will sell zillions of petunias through the Facebook channel, but it makes sense to me the online retailer has a point of sale inside the popular social network. Seems to me that sports properties out follow this example and create online ticket counters and merchandise stands on Facebook as well.
