NBA LAUNCES SOCIAL NETWORK, “FAN VOICE”

Posted on Tuesday 27 February 2007

The Portland Trailblazers have a social Network. The Dallas Mavericks have a wiki. And now the NBA has lauched a league-wide social networking system, Fan Voice.

I haven’t taken any time to look into the NBA system, but on the surface I don’t see much that’s innovative. I know that NBA is offerering player widgets, for example, but I don’t see where you can add player widgets to your “fan voice” profile page. All you can do is say “why you love the NBA.”

Perhaps I’m the wrong person to review this site since I don’t actually LOVE the NBA. I do give them credit for getting this puppy to market. What do you guys think?
